Symonics Introduces Visàge into Philadelphia’s Jean Madeline Salons
Cincinnati, OH, March 31, 2006
When Symonics searched for a flagship installation of their salon consultation product Visàge, they had a few criteria in mind. “Our ideal salons would have a corporate culture that placed great value on education, client pampering, and topnotch management. They also needed to be highly visible in their community and maintain an excellent reputation with upscale clients. The Jean Madeline Group of salons are all that and more.” says Linda Wolf, Vice President of Symonics.
The Visàge Salon Consultation service is being introduced to Philadelphians exclusively by two Jean Madeline Salon locations—Plymouth Meeting and Salon Norman-Dee in Philadelphia. During this 45-minute consultation, women have their facial structure measured and analyzed by their Certified Visàge Consultant™ while they learn about the role of symmetry to their facial attractiveness and why certain recommendations are being made for them.
When it comes to the concept of beauty, the perception is that a symmetrical, well-proportioned face is ideal. Hairstylists and makeup artists are trained to look at the symmetry of their client’s face when determining the most flattering haircut, cosmetic colors and makeup application.
According to Penny Fontaine, Director of the Jean Madeline Salon,
“This consultation is very different from what is currently available. There are computers that can take your photograph and show you what you would look like with a variety of hairstyles and different hair colors. Visàge is the only system that breaks down the details of your facial structure and symmetry— from your hair length, to hair color, your brow shape and length and whether your eyes are close or wide set. All these criteria affect your total appearance when it comes to your hairstyle, hair coloring and makeup choices,” she explains. Through analysis of these measurements, a total look is recommended (including on which side to part your hair!) that will help modernize and maximize one’s looks. Above all, the experts tell clients ‘why’ these recommendations are made.
“Visàge has literally redefined the standard cursory salon/spa consultations we see throughout the country to a whole new level of service for our clients,” explains Sam Lehman, President of Jean Madeline, Inc. “Our experts spend one-on-one time with every new client doing an interactive profile interview, photographing them, showing them how one side of their face is literally different from the other, deciding together on the most beautiful style and color to balance out and enhance their best features, teaching them how to style and care for their hair between salon visits, offering make-up and custom color tips, and giving them a detailed image analysis (complete with photos) to leave with after their Visàge consultation.”
At Jean Madeline, Visàge has been described as “the next best thing to having a face lift,” but faster and less expensive. A forty-five minute consultation costs $50 during the introductory special and will rise to $100 at the end of June.
