My Visàge – one real life client experience

The following is an account of an actual Visàge Salon Consultation experienced by Jennifer Jones of Westwood, Massachusetts, pastor’s wife and mother of two boys.

Haircare Questionnaire I arrive at the salon and am greeted by my Visàge consultant Betty Ann. After introductions, she guides me through an onscreen multiple-choice questionnaire where I provide responses that give her clues to my grooming and lifestyle preferences. I know this process allows Betty Ann to tailor the Visàge experience to me, and I appreciate that I’ll be listened to and my opinion matters. She learns that I allow only 5 minutes for my hair each morning, think of myself as stylish, like soft cool colors, definitely need hair coloring advice and (I’ll admit) use drug store products on my hair and face.

working photo We move to the photography area where I pose for my Before photo and a close-up Working photo— face front, no smile, no jewelry. For this photo, my hair is pulled back and held by a black band to reveal my natural hairline and facial features. I learn that even though the Working photo is never flattering, it’s necessary for accurate measurements and analysis. With a quick connection from camera to computer, my photos are uploaded, adjusted for color balance and alignment, and my Visàge analysis begins.
